Crack of Dawn (Well, at least to me)

Rex and I got an early start to our day today, so we headed out to take a few pictures. While you've seen him in this shirt a billion times, I wanted to perfect the guitar picture with him before he outgrows the shirt. He sat there and played the harmonica for a little while.
What would a Rex post be without a crusty look?
I thought this picture was cool even though there's a piece of grass blurred in front of his face.
I love it when I catch a shot with all his chompers.
His latest skill is running. It's hilarious. He was trying to catch up with a man walking his dogs. He didn't stand a chance, but I sure loved watching him try.

I'm Old School

Rex had this cute hand-me-down shirt with a little skater on it and it reminded me of the skater era. I don't mean like today how the boys wear those tighty jeans with their undies hanging out. I mean the old school pants you could fit 5 guys in. Back then the cool phrase was "Skate or Die!" So, in honor of that, I dug out one of Jeff's old skateboards and snapped a picture of Rex on it. I thought he took a pretty good skater picture. You can't exactly look friendly, you know.

Shady Characters

I came across some very suspicious characters today. This one looks like trouble...
...and he has an accomplice.
Someone gave us a little show through the peep-hole in the tunnel. (Hint: click the picture to make it big enough to see his little face.)
I found those silly glasses at the dollar store and I couldn't resist buying them. I thought Cam had the perfect little face to take a picture of in them.

Jamba-Jamba Boy

I took Rex to go get a Jamba Juice today. He loves them and if asked, the workers will pour some of yours into a baby cup for your little one. I took the opportunity to snap some shots of Rex, since the ONLY time I can do that is when he's eating, which makes him sit still.
There was a random shopping cart where we sat down, so I let Rex sit in it. I love this little tongue-out-smile he does.
He was happy about having his own cup. It cramps his style when he has to share with mom.
Lip-licking good!

I love my little side kick and I love it when he likes the same foods/things that I do. Then I get to spoil both of us!

He's Got the Blues

Rex found my harmonica yesterday and he figured it out pretty quickly. He already plays it as well as I do :) Now, may I present to you all the newest member of my band:

Oh, and also, make a quick visit here to see my latest shots of my newest little nephew.

Projects, Projects, Projects!!!

I absolutely love having a project to work on. (I get that from my parents.) Well, Rex has been taking some nice, long naps the last couple of days, so I've been really productive. Here's what I've been up to:
I made these frames. Now that there are such cute scrapbook papers available, decoupaging is kind of a cool option. I wanted something funky and fun for our bedroom and we didn't have any pictures of Rex up in our house yet. I printed a few in sepia tone.
Here's a better look at a couple of them.

Then, I started working on this shirt. These plain t-shirts were on sale at Target for $5, so I decided to pretend I work for Anthropology and I sewed some stuff onto it. I used scraps from old shirts I was getting rid of. I've been wanting to try this for a while because I love all those Billabong-type shirts with stuff sewn on.
Lastly, I have been wanting to find a way to utilize a lot of the pictures I've been taking, so I copied an idea I saw on a friend of a friend's blog and made an "ABC" book for Cam and Rex. Here are a couple of the pages.

That's it for now and Rex just woke up. Perfect timing!

Speedy Rex

After unpacking and doing lots of laundry this week I realized I haven't posted in almost a week, so here's a quick new picture of Rex. He gets harder and harder to photograph by the day. He's a speedy little guy. He's now 14 months, too! Time sure does fly.
