Oh Christmas Tree!

Friday we headed out to get our Christmas tree. The lot we go to has reindeer there.
I think these are Donner and Blitzen.
Rex was quite excited about the reindeer.
Quite excited.
This little guy came along, too.
Let's get a little closer. I think he's saying, "I can't believe my mom is making me wear this hat!" I can't help myself. Hats are my weakness.
Here are the boys testing out the sleigh.
Here's evidence that I was there, too.
Soon to come...pictures of the tree all decorated. I love Christmas!

Lame, Lame, Lame!

So I took a little break from my blog. I know, LAME!!! Anyhow, I'm back and I've been busy crafting. Here's a little show and tell.
Here's a new variation on my other shirt.
It follows over the back (as seen below).
Here's an upclose of the neckline and bow.
Here's a little shirt for Baden.
Here's another girly one.
It's hard to see, but there's a lot of layers - knit and chiffon.
I've been making some hair clips, too.
One more. It looks peach-ish in this picture, but it's orange.
Even little Rex has been crafting. Here are his snowman door hangers. He insists that they both go on this one door.
Aunt Cassie let him paint ornaments the other day at her house.
AND...one shot of all the boys who have been putting up with their busy crafting mommies.
I love these four little faces.

Baden in Action

I finally found my cord, so here are some videos of Baden over the last few weeks. Here he is eating his first few bites of cereal a couple of weeks ago. He was pretty messy for first time, but by the second or third feed, he had it down. This boy loves to eat.

This video is almost a month old. Whoops. Anyhow, you can hear him giggle a few times. That's got to be my favorite noise ever.

This one's from yesterday. Baden loves his jumper. He's pretty good at it, too.

Going There Someday

I wanted some pictures of the Salt Lake temple to put up in our home. I've seen some beautiful ones, but I didn't want to pay for them when I could take some myself. Yesterday I spent 10 minutes taking some quick shots. I came home and played with some of the images. This is what I got.
I love berries and leaves, so I had to take one like this. I added a little texture as well.
Here's one more berry one.
I wanted to make one look old. I thought this looked pretty cool until Jeff told me it looked a bit scary. Whoops.
I had to find a spot I could take a picture of the door knobs without interupting a wedding shoot. I moved quickly.
That's all for now. I've got to decide which ones to put up. I'm excited about these because Jeff and I were married in this temple. It also reminds me of all the best things I have on this earth.

Tummy Time and Teething

The other day I was telling Rex that Baden needed some tummy time. Rex decided he needed some too. Well, if Rex is doing something, his "guys" are right by his side. He told me his guys needed tummy time too. So here are all the men in the house having their tummy time.
Rex ran upstairs to get Baden his extra woobie the other day. I found them on the couch together, both gnawing on their blankies and happy as can be. They are both teething and they make that more than clear to me. (insert scream) Rex is sporting his favorite jammies that I have to wash as quickly as possible so we can maximize the number of times he can wear them in one week.

Two Peas in a Pod

We haven't seen a lot of my sister or her kids lately. The flu hit them each like dominos in her family, but now they are all back to normal. Needless to say, Rex and Cam were very excited to hang out again. Here's a picture I from a few weeks ago that I forgot about.

Soft and Sweet

I took a couple shots of my little Baden yesterday. He is such a sweet boy.
I like this one because it looks like his arms are out, saying pick me up!
I have a few videos of Baden to upload, but I can't find the right cord. Anyhow, videos of giggling and eating his first cereal are soon to come.

Men, Men, Men

These litttle men are Rex's current obsession. They are Starcom soldiers - Jeff's childhood toys. They now all have names....Hank, Burke, Rex, Mommy, and New Guy. The latter three were named by Rex. I am quite flattered to have a namesake.
If one is missing, we have to suddenly dedicate ALL resources to finding him. I guess a good soldier never leaves a man behind.
He sleeps with them on his nightstand. I like his goofy grin here. He was excited that I was taking pictures of "his guys," as he calls them.
I love this kid.

Family Photos

So here are the family photos we had taken a few weeks ago. I am really excited to have some great shots of all of us together.
We went to Simplicity Photography (see the link on the side if you want to see more of her work). Angie is an amazing photographer whose blog I've been stalking.
Rex was really good for the whole shoot.
We often just walk down the middle of the street together in coordinating outfits, you know.

I love this one of Rex in black and white. He looks so innocent. It's a good one for me to look at on a day when he's driving me crazy:)
He was totally hamming it up for the ladies.
AND she actually got a picture of Baden without his Heaton scowl. Now that's talent.
Thanks again Jeff, for spoiling me and letting us get these photos taken. You're the best!

Hair Wear

This post is for Lec. She wanted to see some of the hair clips I've been working on. I love all the funky headbands and clips that are popping up in stores, so I've been making some of my own. I made this one for my sister that just ran a HALF MARATHON yesterday! Yeah, Cassie rocks. She didn't even walk any of it.
I made this fabric flower from an old shirt. I added a button to the middle and then added these wooden leaf-shaped buttons to the edges. I loved anything leaf-related, in case you didn't know.
This one is more for a younger girl.
I made this one and wore it in our family photos. You'll notice the new header and I'll be posting all the pictures soon. I love taking pics of my boys, but I really wanted some of all of us together. So, my very kind husband let us go to an amazing photographer.
That's all for now. I'll be posting a lot this week. Lots of pictures and projects. Stay tuned.
