Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with Jeff's family. They have a lot of cute traditions and we had a great time.

Here's Hugo, Lance, and AJ. They're holding the 12 days of Christmas bulbs. The whole family sings the song and each kid gets their own number/part.

The kids get to each hold a nativity figurine and they put it in its place as Kate reads Luke 2. It's hard to see the little figurines in the picture, but they're there.

Rex fell asleep, so I opened his present. Grandma and Grandpa got a cool rocking horse for my little cowboy. He's going to love it.
Larry got a Cocomotion machine. It promises to make amazing hot chocolate WITH froth. Yum! He looks pretty excited about it.
Olive (the dog) got a new sweater (to her dismay). Connie put it on her and she froze in this position and refused to move. It was hilarious. We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. (We missed you Malinda and fam!)

My Bouncing Baby

Rex absolutely loves bouncing in his little bouncer chair now. He gets a huge grin everytime I set him in it. Here he is in action.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Here's a couple of Christmas pictures. This is our pretty tree, decorated in silver and green. It's even prettier in real life.

I felt a little mean putting these antlers on him, but he looked so funny and cute that I couldn't resist. Thanks again for the cute shirt Malinda.

Fancy-Schmancy!

First off, sorry I had to break up this weekend post into three parts, but the blogger wouldn't let me upload more than a few pics per post. Anyhow, Cassie and Chris had their black tie Christmas party Friday. I got to play Barbie and help Cassie get ready. Here's the beautiful couple right before they left.

I got to babysit this little face. He was so good.
I got my Christmas shopping done Saturday and Sunday the Harlines came over for fondue night. Yum!

Chocolate Anyone?

So, I thought Cam would enjoy the chocolate fondue more if he had a pile of melted chocolate on his tray and no shirt on. I was right. (Leca, you'd be proud of me.) Here are the results.

While it's not pictured, at one point Cam stuck his chocolate finger up his nose. Cassie didn't think it was quite as funny as I did. Chocolate smells good. Can you blame him?

Gift Opening...

After the chocolate explosion, we let Cam open some presents. Here he is modeling his new lion towel and showing off his baby pecks.

Grandma Connie got Cam this cool book that all of us adults enjoyed playing with as much as Cam did.
You know it's time for bed when you catch him staring off into space like this. It was a fun-filled weekend....chocolate, presents, and good company.

Three Years Ago....

I meant to post this yesterday. Yesterday was three years to the day that Jeff proposed to me in New York. We went on a carriage ride around Central Park and then when we walked through the park he got down on his knee and popped the question.

I said yes then and I would definitely say yes if I had it to do over again. Thanks for three great years, Jeff, and many more to come.

Riding the Trax...

Cassie and I needed to go to the Gateway today to find her something fabulous to wear for Chris's work party this weekend and we'd heard there were some screaming deals. We decided to take trax to get there since Cam thinks trains are so cool. Let's just say he wasn't disappointed.

Here are the boys getting reading to get on. Cam kept chanting, "so excited, so excited!"

I couldn't even get him to look at the camera because he was too taken by watching everything go by. Everytime the we took off he'd say, "really fast!"
Cam even made friends with a few questionable folks on the trax but I didn't think asking to take their picture was a good idea. He's a friendly kid. Everyone thought he was pretty cute as he tugged his arm up and down yelling, "choo-choo!"

I haven't fallen off the face of the earth...

Things have been pretty busy around here lately, so sorry it's been a long time since I've posted. With visitors in town, moving Cassie and Chris, and getting sick a lot, I haven't had a lot of time on my hands. Anyhow, here are some random pictures from the last week or so.

Sometimes Jeff is like a little kid who gets more giddy at night. Here he is modeling a towel we bought for Rex.

I love putting Rex's hood up to frame his little face. He tries so hard to sit up on his own now, but he's definitely still a bit wobbley.
Cam was feeling a bit under the weather, but snuggles from grandpa always make things better. Look at both those sets of blue eyes.
Jeff is especially a good time when he's on nyquil and this time I got my camera out to take advantage of it. I'm not sure if he even remembers dressing up like this and saying crazy things, but now I have proof :)
Here's my dad and Rex sporting flannel together. They even happen to have the same hair-do.
Things should be settling down a bit more now, so I'll keep the posts going again.

The Christmas Tree

We got a Christmas tree this weekend. Here's Jeff and Rex right before the event.

Here's my little "ladies man." This picture is one of my new favorites. I love Rex in hats.
Here are the boys at the lot we went to. They had some amazingly beautiful trees. They even had reindeer there (but they wanted $5 to take a picture with them even if it was your own camera and I'm way to cheap for that!)
Here's our beauty loaded up onto the car. Stay tuned for pictures of it decorated at home. It's one of the prettiest trees ever, but it's bigger than we thought and we have to buy some more Christmas lights to cover it.

Thanksgiving

Jeff and I went to his parents' cabin for Thanksgiving. Here are some of the pictures:

Here are the younger cousins. They finished dinner first and then entertained Rex while we ate. Little Lance (orange short) even busted out some pretty amazing dance moves to keep Rex interested. It was pretty cute to watch. Rex loves his cousins.
