My Little Roadie

Tomorrow I'm going to do a concert for girls' camp and this little guy is coming along. Isn't he a cute little roadie? My guitar case actually makes the perfect little bed for him.
Can't do a photo shoot of him without a shot of these little feet. I just love 'em.

My Fluffy Chicken

When Baden gets out of the tub and his hair dries I call him my fluffy chicken because his hair is so soft and fine and it looks more like feathers. So, here's my little fluffy chicken. You can tell he's quickly outgrowing his clothes.

It's hard to believe, but Baden's already a month old. He's such a sweet baby and I'm so glad he's mine.

Sunday Best

Here's a quick shot of the boys before church today. Rex knows church is about Jesus, but he also thinks it's all about snacks. You gotta keep him quiet somehow.
Here's little Baden giving the Heaton scowl. See how his cheeks are filling out?
We had some fun visitors today after church.
Rex loves playing with grandma and grandpa and getting spoiled. Those two things go together, you know.

Helping Mommy Bake

I made some muffins this morning. Couldn't have done it without my little sidekick.
He was very willing to clean out the bowl for me.
I love his messy face and bedhead hair. He's such a little boy.
I just love this little face.

Bosco and His Trusty Friends

Rex is super attached to two things in our house and I wanted to document it so I can always remember them. First of all, may I present "bear." Yes, that is his name. No confusion there. Rex has to have this little guy to sleep every night. He just loves him. He has a loose string on his mouth and sometimes Rex blows on it just to watch is move. Bear gets more kisses than anyone.
Let me also introduce "woobie." He and his blanket are inseparable. (Though we don't let him leave the house with it.) If Rex gets hurt, he needs woobie right away. Good thing Cassie had one that looked just like his. Now I can wash one while he uses the other. It was pretty tricky to get it clean before we had the second one.
Here's Bosco himself, giving them some love.

Little B

I've been trying to squeeze in taking pictures of Baden while he's still small. He's already grown a lot and his little cheeks are filling out.
Here are his little big feet. (Little because he is a baby. Big because they are giant.)
Here's one more attempt at a picture of the boys together. Yikes. Baden's face says it all. He gets a lot of "love" from his big brother.

Happy Father's Day Jeff!

This is a video I made last father's day for Jeff. I added on to it all the pictures from the past year. It's amazing how much a year changes things. Jeff is now the father of two!

Jeff is an amazing father. He is really patient with the boys (even when I'm not). He is a really fun dad, too. He helps me out so much. Simply put - life is always better when daddy's around. We love you Jeff.

My Dad...

This post is for my Dad. Happy Father's Day, Dad! I miss you!
I love your sense of humor and your jokes (even if I've heard them a hundred times).
I love how excited Rex gets to see you (even if it's only on the computer).
I love how you taught me to make every trip count.
I love how all the grandkids adore grandpa.
I love how you always have a project and I love how I think of you when I see each completed one in my house.
I love how you happen to know how to put anything together or fix anything.
I love how you're goofy.
I love how you understand the crazy way we women think (after raising 4 of them).
I love how you love mom.
But most of all, I love that you are my dad.
Thank you for all you've taught me. Thank you for all the patience you've had with me. Thank you for always believing in me. Thank you for your amazing example. I love you, Dad!

Born to Be Wild

This little guy is growing quickly. I don't take pictures as often as I want to because he spits up a LOT and drenches things before I get a chance to snap a picture. Anyhow, here he is wide awake.
His yawn here looked like a roar. He's actually not too wild. He's a pretty mellow, sweet little guy.

Flowers and Showers

We've had tons of rain these past couple of weeks. It's been great for our yard. Here are some flowers we have growing up the columns by the front door. AND...here's proof that I'm still alive. My two little guys have been keeping me very busy, to say the least.
Here's a picture of the roses that climb all the way up the house in back. I just wish they would last all year. They arrived the day before Baden came and we have been enjoying them a lot.

Thanks Aunt Jo-jo!

We were lucky enough to have another sister visit this past week. My sister Jodi came for a few days. She got to meet Baden and she helped us out a ton!
Thank you so much for coming, Jo. We love you and miss you already!

Brothers Don't Shake Hands...Brothers Gotta Hug!

I tried to snap a couple pictures of the boys together yesterday. It was quite a challenge, to say the least, and I had Cassie and Jodi around to help. Yikes. You may only ever see pictures of them individually from here on out. We'll see.
Rex adores Baden. He loves to give him snuggles and kisses. Baden tolerates it all quite well. He's a pretty easy going little guy so far. It's been fun to see them together.

The First Photo Shoot...

Today while Rex was napping, I got to take some shots of Baden. He is a sweet, mellow baby and I just adore him.
Does that scream kissable or what?
I took a picture of Coop in this basket a year ago. He also barely fit. I was excited that I caught a baby smile here.
I just can't enough of this little guy. It amazes me how it just takes seconds to fall in love with your new baby.
I'm sure this little guy will have to put up with a million photo shoots, but he's off the hook for today.

Thank You Lec and Breckyn

My sister Aleca and her daughter Breckyn just left today. They came to help me with the new baby. They were AWESOME and so fun to have around, too. Lec is the baby whisperer.
Breckyn was super helpful, too.
Aleca brought this iron-on that we sewed onto a onesie. I happened to have matching baby legs for it. I think it's hilarious. It says, "Argh...Wipe me booty!"
Thank you SO much for all your help, Lec. It meant so much to me.

A Little R&B

My sister Aleca has been in town with her daughter Breckyn. They've been helping me out a ton with the new baby transition. B has been helping out with Rex, who adores her. I thought I'd get a couple of shots of them having fun together.
They even happened to match. They looked so cute hanging out.
We also had a little cake for Coop's b-day the other day. Aunt Leca made sure he got plenty of chocolate everywhere.
