Big Brother

I did a little photo shoot of my sister's little boys today. Here's a sneak preview, Cass.

Knocking at the Door

Since Rex was all dressed up for church I thought I'd snap a few shots of him on our doorstep. Doesn't this make you want to come inside for a visit?
Jeff was feeding him fruit snacks to keep him in position. He's quite a mover and a shaker these days (that is Rex, not Jeff).
His hair is getting even thicker. We might even let it grow a little longer.
We have been really lucky to get some of the cutest hand-me-downs. (Thanks Cass and Lec!) I just can't get enough of him in these suspenders!

Pictures and Ponies

Here's another shot I took of Rex the other day. He gave me this sweet, serene look that I haven't really seen before.
We took a family trip to the petting zoo today. Rex had a ball, naturally. However, this time we went to the one at Thanksgiving Point and you don't really get to touch the animals as much.
That was probably a good thing, since these were some very aggressive goats.
It was really hot, so we didn't last too long...
but we finished strong with Rex's first pony ride.

Struttin' His Stuff

I thought I'd post one more video of Rex walking while he's still a little wobbily. Soon he'll be a sturdy little stud and I will miss this drunken sailor phase a whole lot.

Bubble Boys

Yesterday we let Cam and Rex play with bubbles.
Rex thought they were pretty cool.
Since watching bubbles is old news for Cam, he wanted to blow them himself (with the help of his trusty sidekick, Gweeno-Gweeno).
Cam is a very kind cousin.
Here's my little man, memorzied by the hose aunt Cassie had turned on. He stares at water like it's fire. It's one of his very favorite things.

Tour of Utah

Jeff and I went up to Snowbird today to see one of the stages of the Tour of Utah.
We met Keith and Debra up there.
They brought two very cute spectators.
I took pictures of the cyclists for Jeff's enjoyment and pictures of the boys for my enjoyment.
It was Rex's first race. Although he was pretty tired and cranky, Jeff swears that Rex absolutely adored the race.
Keith and Jeff even got a picture with Tyler Hamilton afterwards. They were pretty excited about it.

The Adventures of Rex and the Billy Goat

My sister Cassie and I took our kids to the petting zoo the other day. You enter this fenced in area and there are a bunch of goats roaming around. Rex got giggle-happy and started grabbing their ears and petting them. It was so funny. The goats took quite a liking to our strollers, though. Cam was a bit frightened so I held him. Meanwhile, one of the pushy goats got his head and horns stuck in Cassie's stroller.
Another one of the goats found Rex's tippy cup and started trying to suck on it. (No, I didn't let Rex drink out of it again.)
As you can see below, the goats like Rex, too. There's five of them surrounding him. They were really gentle and I was surprised that Rex had no fear.
Next time Rex is having a hard day of teething, I know where we're headed.
