Hello Denver!

Jeff has been in Denver for the last five days on business. Rex and I were bummed that he wasn't going to be around until Jeff called late Friday afternoon. He said he was going to have two free days over the weekend and he wanted us to fly out. We found a cheap ticket and off we went that night! We had a great time there together. Here are some pictures from "Boo at the Zoo" that we went to.
Jeff and Rex in the tropical area. As you can see, Rex was really into it. (For the not so casual observer, I think Jeff either had to go to the bathroom or he was practicing his pop-out-the-hip pose from America's Top Model.)
Here I am with the camels.

Here's Rex and I with a cute, cuddley bear. You'd swear they were friendly.

Jeff conquered Denver, navagating us perfectly to each location. (Which is a great thing, since I'm directionally challenged.) It was a great weekend, but it's also great to home.

Our Weekend Post

I couldn't resist taking a father and son picture today when they were all dressed up for church. Those are my favorite pictures ever. Rex is pretty used to the picture taking, but Jeff still whines. I tell him he'll be glad I was photo-happy when Rex is all grown up and moving out.

Jeff and his ventriloquist puppet, Rex.
I chopped off another 3 or 4 inches on my hair this week. It's a lot less to deal with. (For a bigger, bolder change see Cassie's blog. She should be posting pictures soon and she REALLY changed her hair. It's adorable and spunky.)

More of the Little Man

Here are a couple shots from the last couple of days. I'm a sucker for Rex in a hat. (Okay, so I'm really just a sucker for Rex in general.)
Look at that little face!
Here's another face I'm a sucker for. Cam has the sweetest big, blue eyes ever and he knows how to use them.
Rex loves to sit up and see the action. He actually likes watching TV, too. I think he gets that from his daddy.
This little rascal is already due for another haircut.

Bath Time!

Here are a couple of bath time shots. Rex absolutely loves his baths. He's learned how to splash and he seems to think it's pretty cool. I had a hard time getting him to hold still enough to take a picture.
Crazy bath hair.
My favorite part is seeing him in his little hooded towel.

The Adventures of Jeff and the Great Potato

The other day Jeff came home from work with a big smile on his face. Someone at work got this big sack of potatos and let Jeff have one. These weren't just any potatos....they were massive. Jeff loves baked potatos more than anyone I know. He wrapped his prized potato like a present in paper towels and waited until Sunday dinner to have me cook it up for him.
After three hours in the oven it had reached perfection and here's my husband ready for the first unforgettable taste. Yes, he ate the whole thing.

Note: Potatos in pictures are often even larger than they appear.

The Little Man in Action...

I just figured out how to upload a video, so here's my little man in action. He loves to coo and smile all the time. This ones for you, Lec.

PS to Cassie...it freaks me out to listen to this clip and realize how much it sounds like you talking in the background.

Thank Goodness for Blogging...

So, as many of you may have noticed, I haven't posted in a very long time. See if you can answer the question below.
----------------------------------------------------
1) Cheri hasn't blogged in a couple of weeks because:
a. Her parents were in town and she was too busy having fun with them.
b. She has been busy finishing the decorations in Rex's room before he's not a baby and it's not a nursery anymore.
c. She spilled a full bottle of breastmilk into her computer, which completely destroyed her beloved apple laptop.
d. All of the above.
----------------------------------------------------
If you guessed "d" than you are correct. You may proceed on to the pictures. If you chose the wrong answer, start over and try again.
So, who knew how easy it is to destroy a laptop. They couldn't even salvage the hard drive. If it weren't for my blogging (which saves the photos I upload) I wouldn't have any of my pictures of Rex. I'm so glad I still have all the best ones.
----------------------------------------------------
So here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks. Jeff and Rex were matching the other day and they both had hats on. I couldn't resist taking a photo of them....so cute!
Camden has taken a liking to the cupboard under our TV. It's his little fort and he crawls in there and shuts the door all the time. It's hilarious.
We went with my parents to Hire's for dinner. My mom ordered a little ice cream cone and she was a little surprised at how big it was when they brought it out. (Now that's my kind of surprise. Yum!)
Here's Rex with grandma and grandpa just before they left for the airport this morning. Thank you guys so much for coming! We had a blast and we love you so much!
Here's a little close-up of my favorite little face. I still can't believe how fast he's growing. He's such a good, happy baby. We are very blessed.
