Up to and In to

Rex has been changing and growing so quickly lately. I wanted to write down some of his latest tricks and things he's into before I forget.
1) In the past month or so Rex has been discovering new things he can do with his body. He'll strike a pose, like holding up a leg or squatting and say "Mom! Wook at dis! You like it? You like it?" He wants to show us his every move. I am usually rolling on the ground when he does this. It's hard to convey how funny it is just by writing about it. Here's an example of one of his poses.
2) He's still wiping off most of my kisses. His latest comeback is telling me it's too early for kisses (just like I tell him it's too early for candy).

3) He still loves Jeff's Starcom guys, but also enjoys the Lego men as well. He likes to see how many heads he can stack on one body.

4) Rex hates having his diaper changed and has come up with some good stories to avoid it. He was poopy yesterday and I called him on it. He denied it and I asked what was the poopy smell. He told me it was dog poop. Funny, especially since we don't have a dog.

5) He is using his imagination a lot. He loves to play imaginary catch, which he came up with on his own. He'll announce that he's going to throw the ball and then he wants you to catch it. Turns out I really am athletic because I have some serious imaginary catch skills....and all this time I didn't know.

6) The other day I was showing him the pictures of him I have on the sidebar of the blog. I explained that the first one was baby Rex and that he kept on getting older and bigger. All of the sudden Rex started clenching his fists and teeth and shaking. I said, "Rex, what are you doing?" He replied honestly and innocently, "I'm trying to grow!"

Here's Rex and I the Sunday before Christmas. I love this amazing little boy.

Once again it is obvious that you love that little guy. I wish all kids had that kind of mom who was crazy about them. Those little guys are lucky! Rex is one funny kid too!
LOVE,
MOM

Those are so funny! I love the growing. I bet I'm good at imaginary catch too. Perhaps I could even catch one all the way in Wisconsin. I think hearing about their thoughts is priceless. You'll love that you are writing all of these down. I looked at my past posts the other day and I was cracking up at the things my kids use to do.
