Jeff and I have been married for over three years, but I am still trying to understand him and figure out exactly how his mind works. I figure, if can get inside there, maybe I could figure out a way to get him to pick up the pile of clothes on the side of his bed. Maybe I could convince him that eating leftovers won't kill him.
Well, here are two things that definitely motivate him. ONE. A sweet young girl came by our house selling newspaper subscriptions the other day. We don't get the paper. We don't want the paper. However, she gave her saga about wanting to go to vet school and she told Jeff she had a chihuahua. Now we get the paper. It's everywhere. I think we have enough to recarpet the house with it. Thank you chihuahua girl. We really needed that.
So, how can I make this all work for me? If I can get Dairy Queen to start advertising leftovers I'll be set. AND maybe if I tell him there a sweet little girl with a chihuahua stuck under his giant pile of clothes, he might pick it up. Until then, I'll just enjoy his brownie sundae.

Good luck with the clothes. Greg still leaves his pile of love for me. And that's after 14 years. I've given up. I try to think how lucky I am that he trusts me to clean up after him!!! LOL!
Those DQ brownie sundae's, they are tasty. We do the same thing with Cold Stone. When I signed Sam and Madi up for soccer last month, the AYSO gave us discount cards. One of the stores is Cold Stone. Buy one, get one free. Oh yes. My dreams have come true. We can't get enough!!!
Jeff is a piece of work alright. Maybe you should tell him if he picks up his clothes-- then you'll take him for a sundae at DQ. As for the papers, it's a direct link to his love for the doggies. I'd say it's a fair trade. No Blue for newspapers-- quit your crabbin' while you're ahead girl.
I have to agree with Lec. Try to tell him he can have a sundae after he cleans up his clothes! As for the papers...your on your own! Maybe you could teach Rex to read early like his aunt and then he can enjoy them!!! :)
I'm just trying to figure out what's with the Heaton boys and leftovers!! Joe is awful about eating them which is especially frustrating since as a Lemke by birth I feel every meal should be "super sized" enough to at LEAST feed a small army! Good luck Cheri!
Funny enough I heard that TIm & Chris stopped into the DQ for the waffle bowl sundaes the other night. What do they put in those things?
