The highlight of the day today was that the nurse let Rex hang out in our room for a little while! It was so much fun to hold him without the huge bundle of monitoring cords attached to him. He did really well. I think he liked the freedom!
They gave him a little beanie to keep his head warm. He looks a lot different when all that hair is hidden under a hat....but still adorable.
Rex loves being held by his daddy (and I think the feeling is mutual).
Here's one of our little visitors. He's really good at saying "baby" and even "Rex." He's going to be teaching Rex a lot of things as he grows up.
The doctor took Rex off his antibiotics and he's been doing really well. We hope to have him home in the next couple of days.

He's a keeper for sure! He gets cuter every day! I'm so glad he got to come to your room. Cam looks pretty excited to be there too! Lec and Cass look totally excited about it all. Fun stuff. I'm so glad you get to stay at the hospital with Rex. Can't wait to meet him. Love ya.
pssstt.... Don't tell Cassie how much bigger Cam looks now. ;) Glad to see the day-to-day improvement and high hopes for a homecoming soon.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You are lucky it wasn't the 8th because our Jack was insistent that he should have the same name so you've been spared the petitioning. Great to hear the progress, love the name and he is handsome. I hope you're all home soon! Hug everyone for us! Love, Bob
