the Nursery...

After the many requests, I finally took a picture of the nursery. It's still not done, but you can see the feature wall (checkered pale blue and green) and the rest of the room is painted blue. In this picture the checkered wall looks weird, like the background is pink. It's actually creme and looks a lot cuter in real life, but until you each personally visit to see it, this will have to do.

I love the room-- but it looks like you had to do some serious edging with every square. Mom would tell you I am not qualified to help with anything this complicated-- but I know what looks good... this does. Do you find yourself wandering into the room and arranging things and rearranging things and looking through his clothes? I did that everyday from Jan-May when Breckyn finally arrived. My hospital bag was packed in March. I was a little excited. Your nesting instinct will kick in soon and you will find yourself doing weirdo jobs to get everything just perfect for the baby! I even bought a new rug so my baby wouldn't ever have to touch a dirty one. By number two I had meals prepared, house clean everyday (because it could happen anyday in the last trimester-- yeah, right), bag packed, and shoes pointed towards the door. I'm a little nuts-- but I'm excited to watch you go through this crazy transformation from human to super-charged-hormone-human in a matter of months. Good luck-- it looks great! I can't wait to come see it in person!

We LOVE it! Rex will love his room. We are so happy for you and Jeff. This will be one lucky little boy to come into the world to the most loving parents (and extremly talented & beautiful Mommy). Enjoy the last next few months. Once Rex comes, you will never be the same again. Having your first baby is the most wonderful thing anyone can go through. I have gone back to that moment in my mind so many times. It's wonderful!!! WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!! : )

Alright who is anonymous? I have to agree the room is WAY cuter in person...any takers on an early visit to help the nesting mother? Don't worry she hasn't gone into full on nesting mode yet....it will come...give her a few more weeks.

Is that bed missing a blanket? :)

Nice room! Looks great. PAinting the checkerboard was a daring move. Lots of work but great results!

CHER! Very cool paint job! Of course you would have that kind of painting in your baby's nursery. I remember your knack for decorating quite well.

I am so excited for you and Jeff and your little boy. As a new inductee to this motherhood thing, I can say that it is pretty amazing. I'm actually amazed that Inge has been entertaining herself with looking at the closet long enough for me to post this! Babies get excited about looking at the strangest things--Inge never seems to get bored with the wood slat blinds we have.

By the way, hello to all you other Magill girls out there!

You're awesome, Cher!
