Peace

If been meaning to write this one down for a while. My brother-in-law Chris (aka Coco) has already messed up my child. He has taught him to say "peace" ever since Rex was little. Well, when we tried to teach Rex that he was going to be two we would show him how many that was with our fingers. That happens to be the same sign as peace, so if anyone asks Rex how old he is he always replies, "Peace!" We've tried to undo it, but it's useless. He is a peace-year-old. I had to get him this shirt when I saw it. It's very him. Thanks uncle Chris.
I got a fall coat for Rex and had him try it on. I told him how cute he looked in it and I think it went to his head. He asked me to get his sunglasses, so I did. He then started prancing around the kitchen like he was too cool for school. I thought it was pretty funny. Here he is hamming it up.
Things Rex is currently into:
- He is still obsessed with the garbage truck. It's his favorite day of the week.
- Anytime we run out of something he says, "Get more! Go to grocery store!" He loves the grocery store. They give him a baby ice cream cone there. Say no more.
- He repeats EVERYTHING we say.
- He thinks rocks are really great. As we got on the freeway the other day he saw how the landscape by the on-ramp is all rocks and he got really excited. "Rocks! I pick up rocks!"
- It was thundering the other day and he asked me if I could turn off the thunder.
- He loves to play what he calls, "Tackle Me." That means he tackles mommy over and over until I tell him that's enough.
- We're trying to get him to go on the potty, which he has done a few times. I put him on the potty and he says, "Come on, pee-pees! Come on!" and he grunts. I think it's hilarious.

Floating Through the Summer

Is there any treat more classic than a good old rootbeer float? This has been my addiction this summer. I can't get enough. I just finished one seconds ago. I think whoever came up with this concoction should win a Nobel peace prize. Yum!
....and cheers to my computer that is now working again AND to my husband who fixed it. Soon to come...photos of my boys that are even more fun to look at than a rootbeer float.

Babyface

Just a couple more shots of my sweet babyface. He's growing so fast that I don't want to miss documenting it all.
I love this sweet round face. He's so soft and snuggley. For cuddling purposes, I wish he never had to grow up.

PS - I'm having some major computer problems. Does anybody know what to do when your computer will turn on, but the screen stays black? Yikes! I hope it's not toast.

Never...

I never pulled over the car just to stare at horses,
I never was willing to give someone else my last bite,
I never planned on handling someone else’s boogers,
I never listened to a song 50 times in a row,
I never found rocks in my dryer,
I never had the power to heal a wound with my kiss.....
…until you.

Watermelon and Worms

Leca was cutting up watermelon the other day and shortly after we found Rex on his stool going at it.
He couldn't get enough.
He really couldn't get enough.
We didn't let him eat the entire watermelon, but I think he could have.

What would a visit from the Taylors be without Tim taking on a dare? Here's Timmy the daredevil and Slimey the worm.

Here's an in-action shot if Rex and the watermelon. I think he likes it. He sneezed watermelon afterwards. It was cute.

Team Taylor

Lec and her family are here visiting, so here are the cute faces we have hanging around. Emerson is going to kindergarten this year!
B and Z have been giving Baden some loving.
Rugby actually likes having his picture taken. I love it!

Tiny Tux

Today was Baden's blessing. We were lucky to have lots of family with us on such a special occasion. Here are a few shots of my littlest man today. He is smiling a lot now.
Look at this little face.
Baden is such a sweet boy. We are so lucky to have him in our family.
Getting a good picture of our little family is obviously even harder than getting a good picture of Baden and Rex together. Rex had just got up from a nap and Jeff doesn't love having pictures taken. This was the friendliest look we could get from him.
It's funny to think that five and a half years ago I didn't know anyone in this picture but myself and now these boys are my life. I love these three SO much.
