The Adventures of Rex and the Billy Goat

My sister Cassie and I took our kids to the petting zoo the other day. You enter this fenced in area and there are a bunch of goats roaming around. Rex got giggle-happy and started grabbing their ears and petting them. It was so funny. The goats took quite a liking to our strollers, though. Cam was a bit frightened so I held him. Meanwhile, one of the pushy goats got his head and horns stuck in Cassie's stroller.
Another one of the goats found Rex's tippy cup and started trying to suck on it. (No, I didn't let Rex drink out of it again.)
As you can see below, the goats like Rex, too. There's five of them surrounding him. They were really gentle and I was surprised that Rex had no fear.
Next time Rex is having a hard day of teething, I know where we're headed.

Because I Couldn't Resist...

Cassie let me take some shots of my newest nephew last week and I just couldn't resist posting them. He's such a cutie.
Baby feet are one of the best things in the world.
A nap with your new baby is also one of the best things in this world. Aren't they beautiful?
Thanks Cass and Coop!

America's Next Top Male Model

As you might have realized, I've been on a photography kick lately (to say the least). I didn't really get to take a lot of pictures this weekend. When Rex went to bed tonight it left me with only one person to make my photo shoot victim. I talked Jeff into it.
He felt he needed me to give him some emotions to work with, so I did. Here's the unedited, strong emotions of my husband...
Sheer joy.
Utter sadness.
Sexy beast.
Here's a few that I edited for fun.

Thanks for indulging me, darling. You are the hottest model I've ever shot.

I'm in love with two men...

Yes, another picture of Jeff and Rex together. I just can't get enough of either one of them. They make my life so rich.

Watching the Bean Grow

My sister Jodi and her family are in town for a few days. While they were hanging out with her husband's family today, Cassie and I got to watch Chloe (aka - the Bean). She is one energetic little girl, to say the least.
I thought that Rex gets into everything. Turns out, I didn't know what "getting into everything" could mean.
Chlo absolutely adores Cam. It's fun to watch them copy and imitate each other.
Chlo only slows down when it's treat time.
You can't help but love her sweet, sneaky grin and her wild moves. Lec - I figured you're probably missing her a bit, so these pics are for you.

Faster Than the Speed of Light

Jeff and I got this cool toy for Rex for his birthday. It's a hit. He loves it (as does everyone else who is small enough to ride it). Here's our little speed racer in action:

Now I realize that I'm going out on a limb posting this next one. It might come back to bite me in the butt, but Jeff was in rare form. I told him he was going to be in the video of Rex riding his rollercoaster and the next thing I know he shows up like this. I think you'll understand why I veered the camera towards the ceiling at the end of the post. Here's my sassy husband when he's bored.

Mary Poppins Maddie

Cassie and I have been enjoying some time with our niece, Maddie. She's in town for a few days and she happens to be like the supernanny. Every kid loves her, including Rex. We went on a little adventure to the Gateway mall the other day. We even rode the trax. Here's little miss Mary Poppins herself.
The little man loved trax. He likes jabbering at strangers.
We needed some ice cream, since it was a hot day.
We stopped at the fountains to play a bit.
Here they are a little bit wetter and a little bit cooler.
I don't think we're going to let Maddie's parents take her back. She has been SO much fun.
