My New Ride!!!

I begged Jeff to let me get my b-day present early. You see, I really wanted a bike so I could ride around with Rex in a bike trailer. I'm not a jogger, so the whole jogging stroller thing doesn't interest me. However, I had this vision of us on family bike rides and I figured that if I got one now I could use it all summer. Well, today we picked her up. I think I might even name her.

Here are Rex's new wheels. Jeff pulled him tonight on our test drive so I could get used to my new wheels. (Plus, if Jeff has to haul Rex, then I have a better chance at keeping up with him.)
Here she is. She's even pink. Maybe I'll name her the flamingo. We'll see. One thing is for sure...we're going to be great friends!

The Lollipop Photoshoot

I saw this $1 lollipop at Wal-mart the other day and thought it would make for some cute photos. (Not only cute colors, but also a good way to get Rex to sit still!) I decided to try my hand at photography. (Cassie let me borrow her nice camera.) Here's my little sweet tooth.

He got a little too slap-happy, but not before I got to take a lot of pics. There's just something about teeny-tiny converse sneakers with argyle socks. I wish I could keep him small!

Father's Day

My Movin' Machine

My little man is on the move like never before! Just like everyone warns you, he is into EVERYTHING!!! Yesterday's highpoint was licking the toilet seat and I know it's only going to get worse. Though he can be a little monster at times, he's my monster and I'm crazy about him!

Oreos - Take Two

Rex got a second chance at an oreo today and he redeemed himself. This time he really got into it and made a big 'ol mess. We're preping him for his birthday cake. I think he's ready.

The Firetruck Fettish

If you know my nephew Cam, you know he's obsessed with firetrucks and construction equipment. The other day he and I spotted this one in the parking lot, so I put him next to it so he could have a picture with it.

He also wanted one with this resue truck. On our way back to our car we saw the firemen approaching. I asked him if he wanted to meet them and he did. He told them he thought their truck was cool.
I think they appreciated the way he was awestruck, so they offered to let him get in it and pretend he was driving. Cam was so excited. It was adorable.

His Very First Oreo

As I mentioned, Leca was in town. She was shocked that Rex had never had an oreo, so she strapped him into the chair for the big treat. She has pictures of her kids with their first oreos all over their faces. I had my camera ready for the big mess. However, the little man surprised me.

He didn't need any help breaking it up and he neatly devoured every last bit. There were only a few crumbs of evidence on his face. I guess it was just that good.
