My Little Buddy, Camden

As most of you know, my little sister Cassie and her husband recently moved to Utah। Here I am with their little boy, Camden. He's so stinkin' cute and he makes me excited to be having a boy. He insists on carrying my purse for me everywhere we go.

When asked where my baby is, Cam will tap my belly। He's just waiting for his new playmate to come out. Less than 6 weeks to go! Yeah!

Trip to Wisconsin

Last week I got to go to Wisconsin to do some concerts and to visit the fam। It was lots of fun. Unfortunately, it's too much fun playing with the kids and I didn't end up taking any pictures of them (but you can visit Leca's blog for that). Here are a few pictures from the concert I did at my old high school. The pictures are courtesy of my sweet cousin Kate who took them. The concert went really well and it was a lot of fun.

These Wisconsin concerts will probably me my last until the baby comes. I'm almost 8 months which makes breathing a whole lot tougher than before.

No, that's not my undies hanging out, mom. It's my tank top (in case any of you were worried.)

My favorite sister...

Happy Birthday to my favorite sister Leca. Thank you for being my favorite all this time. You are the best sister a girl could have.

Bye, bye commercial real estate...Hello professional racing!

So back in January for Jeff's birthday I got him a little driving package at the Bondurant Racing School in AZ. We planned for me to do concerts that weekend and then saved our Saturday night for his driving experience. (They only offer it a few times a year.) I'm pretty sure Jeff would love to throw in the towel with commercial real estate to pursue driving, as would almost any man. Here are the pictures:

Just like a football picture, it's not cool to smile when you're a racer. It's also not cool to have your wife following you around taking pictures, but the pictures will help me remind him later what a cool wife he has for picking such a fun present.

He got to drive a Cadillac CTS around the race track first.

Then they timed him driving a Mustang around a bunch of cones. (Notice I don't know how to explain it in a cool, manly way.)

The last part was go-carting. They put all the driviers on teams and had a one hour race with pit stops and everything. Jeff was his team's coach. Needless to say, there was a lot of testosterone and competition in the air.

I love Arizona!

Jeff and I went to Arizona this weekend and we had a total blast. We stayed with the Hensons, who also arranged a bunch of concerts in the area for me. I got to do a house concert there, an institute concert/talk, a stake youth fireside, and a girly breakfast. The breakfast included about 30 of the cutest little girls from ages 4-13.

This was my first trip ever to Arizona and I loved it. It won't be our last. Here I am with the Hensons. You can see my tummy is still getting bigger.

Little Bryce knows all the words to all my songs. He is so cute and so much fun!

Allyson was the hostess of the girly breakfast. I think she liked having girls outnumber the boys for once. She is so sweet and fun!

Thank you Cheri, Otis, and family for such a wonderful weekend! We love you!!!

The World's Worst Blogger

So, it's official - I'm the world's worst blogger. I was great for about two weeks, but then I realized that until I have the baby there's really only so much to blog about. I can only post so many pictures of myself, you know! I've recently been informed, however, that I can do an entry without pictures, so here goes.

Our weekend highlights:

1) Jeff and I took second place at his company bowling party. I think Rex might be a good luck charm...or it could be my Wisconsin roots. I mean I do have bratwurst-eating skills, too. I bowled a 157 and Jeff bowled 166.

2) Jeff played a mean game of softball. Unfortunately, his teammates didn't play quite as well as he did and the score reflected that.

3) Jeff and I went to our first gun show. Yes, it's true. My husband has a new hobby. Don't mess with him.

4) I performed for a youth conference and a bunch of young women lined up to have me sign their paper plates. They didn't have anything else for me to sign, but they were really excited. It was hilarious.

Yes, it was a pretty eventful weekend for us. Normally we see a lot more of the couch, but this weekend we were adventurous.

Lesson learned this weekend: You can bowl a lot better if you have a bowling ball in your tummy.
